The successful candidate can expect a high level of autonomy and responsibility from the outset and will be an integral member of the busy and vibrant Employment team. You will be asked to get involved in both contentious and non-contentious work. This is an outstanding opportunity to assist the Head of Department, gaining exposure to training and support. This is a brilliant career opportunity for an Employment Paralegal and the role has the potential for progression and career opportunities.

Senior Private Client Solicitor

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior solicitor to join our Private Client team based in Chelmsford. 

About the Role

Our Private Client team consists of a Solicitor (Director) a Probate Executive and an experienced Legal Secretary. 

You will have experience in the following:-

  • Probate and Estate Administration
  • Preparing Wills and Powers of Attorney
  • Trusts
  • Taxation
  • Court of Protection matters

About You

You must be able to demonstrate clear leadership skills and be at least 5 years PQE.  We have a strong client base and large Will bank that has been built up over many years so our ideal candidate will have the ability both to look after existing clients and also develop and grow the department through attracting new clients. We ask all of our team to participate in networking events and promote the firm in the local business community.

Employment Law Solicitor

We are looking for an ambitious Employment Solicitor to join our highly reputable Employment team based in Chelmsford. We are ideally looking for candidates who are 4+ years PQE but would also consider more junior applicants who have the ability to learn quickly whilst training.

About You

Possessing strong client development and networking skills, you should be a confident and self-motivated individual.

About the Role

You will be provided with a full and varied caseload to cover the full range of contentious and non-contentious Employment matters to both corporate and individual clients. The role will also include but not be limited to:-

  • Grievance and disciplinary proceedings
  • Unfair dismissal
  • Redundancies
  • Discrimination and harassment
  • TUPE
  • Contracts of Employment, handbooks and policies
  • Previous advocacy experience is an advantage as is the desire to represent in the Employment Tribunal. We believe there is no substitute for first hand experience
