At Backhouse Solicitors, we offer fixed costs for Wills (and Codicils).  We will arrange a mutually convenient appointment so we can discuss your wishes.  We are committed to providing a high standard of service and creating the right Will for you.  We have three different Wills to choose from, depending on what you require: a Simple Will, Standard Will (the most popular) and a Premium Will for clients that require more complex Will clauses.

Our Service includes:

  • A 30 minute initial appointment with a solicitor, at our offices or over the telephone, which includes basic inheritance tax advice.

  • A draft Will for your approval.

  • A formal copy of the Will for signing (or ‘execution’). Execution of the Will at our offices (where we provide two witnesses) is included in the cost or we can send the Will to you with instructions on how to execute it properly.

  • A year’s free storage in the firm’s secure storage (thereafter there will be a charge of £20.00 plus VAT per year per document unless we are appointed as an executor, in which case, storage will be free of charge).

  • In the case of new Wills, registration with Certainty, the National Wills Database

Please note that the storage charge will be refunded in any year where you have employed the firm’s services.
