I grew up in Manchester and studied law at the University of Liverpool. I qualified as a solicitor in August 2025, having built several years of practical experience through paralegal and trainee roles prior to qualification.

Throughout my training, I gained exposure to a broad range of practice areas, but commercial property clicked the most with me and quickly became my main focus. Even as a trainee, I was handling high-value commercial property transactions from start to finish, taking primary responsibility for matters with appropriate supervision where required. Having worked in this area for around two years, I have developed a strong foundation and a confident, practical approach to commercial property work.

Alongside this, I also have valuable corporate experience, having supported high-value transactions across a range of complexities. I acted as a key point of contact for clients and maintained good relationships through clear communication and a commercially focused approach.

I relocated from Manchester about three years ago and settled in Brentwood, Essex, where I completed my training contract. Commuting to London during that time, gave me the chance to become familiar with area.

I quickly grew to love the area and Essex in general and knew that this would be a place where I would like to settle long term. When the opportunity arose to join Backhouse Solicitors in Chelmsford as a newly qualified Commercial Property Solicitor, it felt like a natural step, allowing me to continue my career in an area I feel at home in and build my profile within the profession.

Life outside the office

In my spare time I enjoy spending quality time with my family, and I love to spend time with my friends exploring new restaurants to try different cuisines (my favourite is Thai food!). I also enjoy travelling and experiencing different cultures and have travelled to different places in Italy quite a few times (my favourite place being Rome).”
