As an Employment Solicitor, I am delighted to be joining Backhouse Solicitors. With the firm having originally been established as an Employment Law specialist before successfully expanding into a wider range of legal services, it feels particularly fitting to become part of the team. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.
Having studied and qualified in London, I completed my LLB (Hons) at Kingston University before going on to achieve a Master of Laws (LLM) at Queen Mary University of London. Through my studies and early legal career, I gained experience across a range of practice areas, including Employment, Litigation and Family Law, advising on both contentious and non-contentious matters.
Prior to qualifying, I also worked at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Serious Fraud Office (SFO), where I developed experience in regulatory and financial crime matters. These roles provided me with a strong understanding of complex legal and regulatory issues, as well as the importance of delivering practical and effective solutions.
Having grown up primarily in East London, I value building strong relationships with clients and pride myself on providing clear, approachable advice tailored to their individual circumstances.
As part of the Employment team at Backhouse Solicitors, I advise both employers and employees on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. I understand that workplace issues can often be challenging and stressful, whether they relate to contracts, disciplinary matters, grievances, redundancies or workplace disputes. My aim is to provide straightforward, pragmatic advice and support clients through every stage of the process.
One of the aspects I enjoy most about Employment Law is helping clients navigate complex situations and achieve practical solutions. I am passionate about making legal advice accessible and easy to understand, ensuring clients feel informed, supported and confident in their decision-making.
Life outside the office
In my spare time, I enjoy learning about almost anything and everything, but I have a particular interest in cars, planes and motorbikes. Anything with an engine tends to capture my attention, much to the amusement of family and friends. When I’m not indulging that interest, you’ll usually find me playing snooker, working on a DIY project, spending time in the garden or planning my next trip away.
How I can help
Employment issues can have a significant impact on both businesses and individuals, which is why I believe clear communication and practical advice are so important. I take the time to understand each client’s situation and objectives, helping them navigate challenges with confidence and clarity.
From workplace disputes and disciplinary matters to contracts and settlement agreements, I aim to provide responsive, pragmatic support tailored to each client’s needs.
