Growing up between north-west London and Hertfordshire, I went on to become Head Girl at St Albans High School. I later studied Politics at the University of Warwick, before spending some time working in politics. Following this, I began my Bar training. When I decided not to pursue a career as a barrister, I worked as a paralegal, which led to a training contract at a law firm in London, where I discovered a real passion for employment law.
Throughout my training, I gained exposure to a broad range of practice areas, but employment law stood out early on and quickly became my focus. As a trainee, I was involved in a variety of employment matters, supporting cases from start to finish and taking on increasing responsibility with appropriate supervision. I have established a solid grounding in employment law and a confident, practical approach to advising clients.
When an opportunity came up at Backhouse Solicitors for an Employment Solicitor to join the team at the Chelmsford office, I was extremely excited, and I am delighted to be starting a new journey with a firm that truly believes in high-quality service levels.
Life outside the office
After I got married, we moved to Essex, and I now have a young daughter, so I spend most of my spare time chasing her around!
Other hobbies I enjoy include writing, podcasting and dancing. I spend much of my weekends involved in youth work at my church, which is a huge passion of mine, and I’m currently looking to get back into dancing after stepping away from it for some time.
